art

My favorite thing about art?  There are no rules.

I’m not the best rule-follower.

For our clients’ living room (of which we’ll have “after” pics this week), we used a ton of color. You won’t even believe we had a part in it.  Red, orange, peacock blue, brown, gray & yellow.  Can you believe it?  So much color that we needed to fill the large wall behind the sofa with something neutral.  We suggested a wall of sepia or b & w family prints, or frames filled with a favorite family poem, song or verse.

So glad they chose the latter….and so glad Anisa is the painter of this team.  She makes all things purdy.

Have a great week!  We sure are getting a ton of wear out of our Hunter boots.  I’ve never seen so much rain in Atlanta–

  1. I love this idea! You ladies are so talented. I’m excited to see a room full of color, but still with your touch.

  2. Ugh, you’re not kidding. SO sick of this rain!

  3. Love this idea, and great neutral backdrop….can’t wait to see the after pics!
I am also sick of this rain. I might change from my boots to fishing waders if this keeps up. The worst.

This is great! What an easy and creative idea to get some “neutral” into our color. Thanks for your creativity and graciousness.

  5. I’m working on a family photo montage. Where do you usually get your frames?

  6. Holly :

I love the idea of using a favorite verse or quote for a family as artwork. I love Ikea for frames too. Thankfully we have one down the street from us.

Did you use a stamp and ink for the words? Spray paint or marker and a stencil?
