a few more

Hi.  Hope you are well today.  Just wanted to share a few more pictures from this master suite project.

Here are the good ones from Jennifer:

There are glass doors on the shower now (just no photo of it!)

We stretched our clients’ dollars on this project by using inexpensive slate on the floor and subway on the shower walls.

Another way we save money?  Buying from the baby aisle.  The black pendant is from RH Baby & Child.  The white pendants are from Urban Outfitters.  Aren’t they awesome for like $49 each?  Style doesn’t have to break the bank.

The art here is vintage paint-by-numbers from Etsy.  We had to bring in at least a little color!

We weren’t lacking art for this project.  The grandpa was Angelo Ippolito, a contemporary of Jackson Pollack.  We had fun shopping from their storage.

We loved his green painting below–it looks like an abstract landscape.

Now for some of my not-so-good pictures:

We loved the simple cotton damask panels….

photo-4photo-14We also love Daniel’s custom barn door with handles made out of gas pipe.  He’s the best!

We think you always need something masculine over the toilet.  Men always need something good to look at when they are standing, you know? (this toilet area is what was formerly their shower.)

Our clients have an Airstream.  We have one, too, but ours is actually getting fixed at Airstream headquarters in Ohio.  Chris brought back little favors for our boys in this cute bag.  Bags and such can be great, affordable (free!) art.

photo-17One of our always go-to for great art is Lisa Gabrielson’s boot at The Queen of Hearts in Alpharetta.  We love her stuff!

And we are excited that Lisa Mowry sent this project to Kitchen and Bath Makeovers Magazine and they will be shooting it soon.  Woohoo :)

Have a great week,

Julie

  1. Gorgeous! I love that it’s masculine, but with the perfect amount of feminine touches to keep it soft and elegant. And those drapes! I don’t suppose you have a source for them? I’m hunting down curtains for my living room and those could be perfect.

  2. Great job girls! Congrats for the feature and thanks for the sweet mention:)

  3. wooooo hooooo!!!! A couple of glossy-paged regulars you two are! ;-) ))

    xx

  4. I’m so glad you are posting again! I love your blog:-) I noticed the Urban Outfitter sconces do not come hardwired. is it difficult to convert them or is this something any electrician can do easily? Just curious before I purchase. Thanks!!

    • Sorry, we have our contractor do it all! I guess it wasn’t hard…they didn’t complain to us :) . When it is really difficult we get an earfull

  5. could you give me any info on the floor lamp. i have been looking for one and really like the look of that one.
    thanks

    • This one I sold our client from my house. I am not sure where you can find this exact one. Urban Outfitters has one that is close to this!

  6. Hi Julie! I am constantly re-pinning your images on Pinterest and thought I would check out your blog. What a treat! Amazing work. I am lusting after the bathroom mirror, art, bad room sheets, and dresser! love it all.

  7. I came to your blog through the beautiful image Emily posted today on her blog. I just had to see MORE, and I’m so glad I did. I agree with Leah, what a treat! I’m drooling over those nightstands! Seriously, though, with so much access via Pinterest, blogs, etc… it is easy to look-up the work of talented designers; however, very few have made me fall in love with every project- you just did!

  8. Karen Calvert :

Love your blog. Love that mirror those sinks, drapes and paint color. Love the baskets. Please tell us that info. I’ve been looking at photos mags, huzzah, etc for over a year trying to decide how I wanted my office. This has so many features I’d like to incorporate, including sinks since I want to paint. I’m in love with it all. I love that you bloggers share your resources. No one can do the job that someone with a good eye can. Even a good copier. Because, it’s the details that make the difference. Things we may not even know we are seeing. Thank you

  9. I also came over from Emily’s post! Love, love the bathroom mirror. Actually I love it all!

  11. Looks like the sheets could be Serena & Lilly? How about the fabulous wood dresser?

  12. Love the room! Would really like to know your s ource for the night stands and bed frame? Thanks!

  13. I love the baskets underneath the bathroom sinks…great looking storage and the mirror is gorgeous! Would you mind sharing the sources for both the baskets and the mirror?

  14. Once again…beautiful goodness, and I love how all the little details that are added make such a warm and lovely home.

  15. I really hate to add the the source request list, but those dressers as nightstands are absolutely amazing!! I absolutely love your work!
